Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nathan McCormack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamison Freidrichs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jamison Freidrichs has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nathan McCormack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jamison Freidrichs!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freidrichs throws a body punch but McCormack moves out of range.
Freidrichs stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Freidrichs circles away from the clinch attempt.
McCormack throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Freidrichs's waist but Freidrichs gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McCormack off to one side.
McCormack fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Freidrichs avoids it really well and circles away.
McCormack looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nathan McCormack. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fight stays on the outside here - McCormack looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Freidrichs looking to score a takedown here. McCormack is defending well but Freidrichs drives through and ends up in McCormack's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Freidrichs stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McCormack swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Freidrichs drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Freidrichs jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
McCormack avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

McCormack is trying to control the position but Freidrichs postures up.

McCormack had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Freidrichs defends it easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Freidrichs engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
McCormack looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
McCormack has momentary wrist control but Freidrichs slips an elbow through the middle.
McCormack striking off his back but it's not causing Freidrichs any problems.
Freidrichs must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

McCormack has his foot on Freidrichs's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Freidrichs works his way back into a safe position though.
McCormack is breathing heavily.

Freidrichs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McCormack. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Freidrichs postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! McCormack covers up, he's hurt! Freidrichs keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Freidrichs and the ref steps in to end the fight! Freidrichs can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
