Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lanky Stanky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heimdall Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanky pivots, looking for a leg kick but Pain is out of range and Stanky settles back down.
Heimdall Pain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pain shoots in looking for a takedown but Stanky manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pain's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Pain drives through with a takedown into Stanky 's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Stanky throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Pain escapes and throws Stanky 's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stanky is looking to reverse the position.
Pain lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Stanky down.

Pain tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pain has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stanky tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Pain lands a big shot there that rocks Stanky but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Pain's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Heimdall Pain wasn't active enough on the ground.

Pain pulls Stanky into guard.

Pain is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Pain presses Stanky against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Stanky has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Pain is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Pain thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Stanky 's head.

Stanky is looking to get back to is feet but Pain passes into side control.

Pain throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stanky 's waist but Stanky gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pain off to one side.
Stanky stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stanky wants it to stay on the feet.

Stanky has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Pain is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Pain wants the takedown. Stanky is fighting it off but Pain persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Stanky 's guard against the cage.
Heimdall Pain has got the better of the ground game so far.

Stanky has his foot on Pain's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pain works his way back into a safe position though.

Stanky is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pain is aware though and is defending well.

Pain working for a submission but Stanky is keeping him at bay.
Stanky is wriggling around trying to escape.
Stanky wants to try and get back to his feet.

Pain jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Stanky manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Pain shoots for a takedown but Stanky saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Stanky rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pain moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Stanky lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Pain backs up against the cage.

Pain pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Stanky throws a combination. Pain tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Pain looks for a takedown but Stanky sprawls well.

Pain fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Stanky sprawls well initially but Pain persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
