The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faustos lands a nice looking kick to the body. Christofi takes a step back to recover.

Christofi drives through with a takedown into Faustos's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Christofi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Chris Christofi hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Faustos leaves Christofi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Faustos takes a jab right on the kisser.

It looks like Diego Faustos has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Christofi shoots in for a double leg but Faustos sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Christofi shoots in looking for a takedown but Faustos manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Christofi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
