The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cross chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Jackson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Cross quickly recovers to half guard.
Cross wants to control but Jackson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Jackson content to control rather than advance.
Cross is looking for a sweep. Jackson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Jackson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Cross controls his leg.
Well, if Jackson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Cross is looking to escape.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Cameron Jackson wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Jackson looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Jackson wants to pass the guard but Cross is keeping the position.
Cross wants to get back to his feet but Jackson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Cross has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Jackson has passed into side control.
Jackson wants to stand but Cross has his arm trapped.
Jackson throws an elbow but Cross slips to the side and avoids it well.
Jackson moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Jackson unloads with some shots from mount but Cross bucks and avoids them well.
Jackson takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
