Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rico Ferzeta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lateef Crowder! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crowder closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ferzeta's guard. Crowder throws a strike but Ferzeta rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Crowder pulls Ferzeta in close to his closed guard and prevents Ferzeta from doing any damage or advancing position. Crowder lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ferzeta! Ferzeta is desperately trying to improve his position but Crowder has a good base and remains in mount. Crowder with shots to the head and body - Ferzeta looks very uncomfortable down there. Ferzeta tries to lock up and control but Crowder gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Crowder is landing with some decent strikes but Ferzeta is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. This has been an exciting period of action! Ferzeta gets back to half guard. Ferzeta tries to get to full guard but Crowder has control of the leg. Crowder wants to free his trapped foot but Ferzeta is holding on for dear life with his legs. Crowder is controlling the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ferzeta has a hand on Crowder's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Crowder takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Crowder landing strikes from the mount and Ferzeta is in trouble! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Crowder prevents Ferzeta from getting the reversal. Ferzeta is bucking up trying to escape but Crowder cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Crowder avoids the attempt from Ferzeta to control. Crowder controlling his opponent. Crowder landing strikes, looking to finish! That's four minutes gone in the round. Crowder working Ferzeta over with strikes here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ferzeta sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Crowder performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Crowder seems to be working for a kimura but Ferzeta defends the submission attempt. Ferzeta wants to get back to full guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Crowder works his foot free and advances to mount. Ferzeta is in all sorts of trouble here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lateef Crowder dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Ferzeta lands a lovely overhand right. Ferzeta misses with a leg kick and Crowder counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Crowder breaks from the clinch.

Ferzeta uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Crowder has time to react. Ferzeta wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Ferzeta throws a jab but it's blocked by Crowder. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Crowder shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ferzeta sprawls well. Ferzeta wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Crowder gets slowly back to his feet. Crowder gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Ferzeta goes for a takedown in the clinch but Crowder prevents it.

That's one minute gone in the round. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ferzeta. Crowder escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Crowder shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ferzeta is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Crowder. Ferzeta is trying hard to land a takedown here. Crowder sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Crowder shoots for a double leg takedown but Ferzeta sprawls well. He's pushed Crowder's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Rico Ferzeta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lateef Crowder. Crowder stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Crowder wants it to stay on the feet. Crowder looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ferzeta is fending him off so far but Crowder persists. Nope, Ferzeta circles away and we're back to standing. Crowder is breathing heavily. Ferzeta swings for the body but Crowder moves out of range.

Crowder is rocked! Ferzeta weaves into range and cracks Crowder right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Crowder goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Ferzeta is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rico Ferzeta! A less than humble Rico Ferzeta misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
