Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ozzie Castillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerwazy Obuch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ozzie Castillo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Ozzie Castillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gerwazy Obuch!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castillo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Obuch throws out the jab.
A shot to the body from Castillo misses
and Obuch counters with a nice uppercut.
Obuch keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Castillo.
Castillo throws a hook to the side of Obuch's head but Obuch sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Castillo checks a leg kick.
Obuch throws a half hearted mid kick.
Obuch misses with a hook.
Castillo moves into range and connects with a jab.
Castillo throws a body punch but Obuch moves out of range.

Obuch shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Obuch is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Obuch is pressing down on Castillo's thigh, looking to free his foot. Castillo is holding on for now.
Obuch is controlling the pace.

Let's hope that Obuch has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Gerwazy Obuch hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Obuch throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Castillo's waist but Castillo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Obuch off to one side.
A jab from Castillo does it's job there.
Gerwazy Obuch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Obuch dips to his left and cracks Castillo with an uppercut!
Castillo throws an overhand right that lands on Obuch's shoulder, as Obuch tries to avoid the shot.
Castillo loads up on a big right hand but Obuch slips the punch.

Castillo cracks Obuch with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Obuch looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Castillo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Obuch manages to avoid it.
A combination from Castillo does no damage.
Obuch shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Castillo as he avoids it easily.
Obuch lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Nice body kick there by Obuch.
Castillo is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Castillo slaps away a takedown attempt from Obuch, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Obuch uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Castillo.

Castillo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Castillo moves out of range of the leg kick from Obuch.

Obuch is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Castillo's half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Obuch wants to lay and pray for a moment but Castillo keeps working.

and Castillo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Castillo avoids the body shot from Obuch.
Obuch shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Castillo but Castillo pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Gerwazy Obuch seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Obuch shoots in for a takedown but Castillo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Obuch counters with a shoot takedown. Castillo fights it but they end up in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Obuch postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Obuch throws a big elbow that misses.
Obuch sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Castillo's guard.
Obuch throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Castillo is trying to stand.
Obuch performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Obuch is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Obuch content to control rather than advance.
Obuch thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Castillo's head.

Gerwazy Obuch showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Obuch comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Obuch lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Castillo has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Castillo and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Obuch takes a swing at Castillo's ribcage but misses.
Castillo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Obuch moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Castillo dodges the punch combination from Obuch.
Obuch digs a good body shot into Castillo's ribs.
Castillo misses the jab.

Castillo gets caught napping as Obuch dives in and scores a takedown. Castillo manages to retain guard.
Obuch tries to free his leg and advance position but Castillo is retaining full guard.

Obuch is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Obuch is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Obuch postures up in Castillo's guard and throws a big left but Castillo blocks it.

Ozzie Castillo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Castillo is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Castillo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Castillo wants it to stay on the feet.

Castillo lands with an uppercut that bounces Obuch off the cage and back into range.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Obuch.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Obuch throws a low kick but Castillo avoids it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Nice takedown defense from Castillo. No joy for Obuch on that attempt.

Gerwazy Obuch comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Obuch has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
