Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Paul Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mia St John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying St John's choice of entrance music: The Bitch is back. Paul Stewart looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paul Stewart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mia St John!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by St John there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
St John misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
St John has taken the fight to the clinch.
St John gets underhooks to prevent Stewart's takedown attempt.
St John has had enough of the clinch but Stewart keeps him there for the moment.
Stewart has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. St John avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
St John manages to break the clinch.
St John tries to clinch but Stewart moves out of range.
St John fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Stewart.
St John moves into range and clinches up with Stewart.
Stewart tries to pull guard but St John forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Stewart. That's going to take a lot out of him.
St John pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
St John fails in his attempt to clinch.
Left hook, right uppercut from St John.
Stewart tries to move into range but St John moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
St John tries to score with a low kick but Stewart moves his leg out of the way.
St John clinches.
St John wants to break the clinch but can't.
St John's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Stewart showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from St John.
St John swinging wildly here.
Stewart keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
St John circles away from the clinch attempt.
St John closes the distance and clinches.
St John escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stewart shoots in but no luck this time.
Stewart keeps the fight on the outside.
Stewart tries to clinch up but St John circles away and keeps his distance.
Stewart feints and as St John raises his hands in defense, Stewart changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
St John looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stewart is one step ahead there.
Stewart tries to free his leg and advance position but St John is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stewart is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there.
Stewart stops St John from standing up.
Stewart has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing St John to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Stewart is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - St John pulls down on the head and he's put Stewart to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Mia St John!
