PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Blake Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Grabowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perry kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sound of Maddness from Shinedown. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Blake Perry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Damian Grabowski!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grabowski moves out of range as Perry throws a body kick.
Grabowski stuffs the takedown attempt from Perry. Perry gets slowly back to his feet.
Perry lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Grabowski circles away quickly and effectively.
Perry throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Perry misses with a takedown attempt - Grabowski sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Perry shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Grabowski as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Blake Perry. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Perry throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Perry pushes Grabowski up against the ropes in a clinch.
Perry wants a takedown but no success here.
Perry tries a body shot but Grabowski blocks it.
Perry tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Grabowski avoids it.

Perry breaks from the clinch.

Grabowski feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Perry is breathing heavily.
Grabowski is pushing down on Perry's leg trying to pass to half guard. Perry is fighting to maintain full guard but Grabowski has managed to sneak the leg through.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Grabowski gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Grabowski scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Blake Perry has been cut.
Perry stuffs the takedown attempt from Grabowski. Grabowski gets slowly back to his feet.

Oooooh!!! Grabowski has knocked Perry down with a huge combo! Grabowski steps away and waves a wobbly Perry back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Perry is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Grabowski batters Perry with a massive right followed by a huge left! Perry is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Grabowski lands a final crushing right hand to drop Perry to the mat with a gruesome thud! Grabowski is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
