Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Levi James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Esposito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Levi James has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Levi James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank Esposito!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Phil Schofield and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James misses with an uppercut
and Esposito counters with a straight right hand.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Esposito crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from James - the referee stops the clock and Esposito gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says James. Esposito manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Esposito lands with an uppercut that bounces James off the cage and back into range.
Esposito connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
James ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Esposito moves away.
James dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Esposito. That did some damage!

James rushes Esposito and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
James tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
James stalling the fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, James just misses with a elbow thrown towards Esposito's brow.

James tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Esposito smiles and moves away.
Esposito stuffs the takedown attempt from James. James gets slowly back to his feet.
James fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Esposito avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Levi James. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Esposito throws a leg kick but James sees it coming and checks it nicely.
James with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
An inside leg kick lands from James.
Esposito scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Esposito turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

A nice inside leg kick there by Esposito. That's going to slow James down.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
James misses with a low kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Esposito. James does a little dance to reset his feet.
A swing and a miss from James.
Esposito takes a swing at James's ribcage but misses.

Esposito drives through and clinches with James against the cage.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Esposito.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

James is adopting a defensive guard.
James is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

James looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Esposito passes into side control.
James can't do much from the bottom here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Esposito remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Esposito wants to lay and pray for a moment but James keeps working.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
James manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Levi James will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

James fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Esposito, pushing him back against the cage.
James tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Esposito as James tries to tie him up.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Esposito.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Esposito tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Esposito lands with a short head shot on the inside.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
James goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
James can't get the takedown.
Esposito avoiding damage.
James's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

James tries to land knees in the clinch but Esposito avoids the damage to the body.

Esposito throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Jamess head.

James is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Esposito is defending well for now.

James lands a good knee to the midsection. Esposito won't want to take too many of those.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

James changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Esposito tries to avoid it but James manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Esposito to the ground. Esposito escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Esposito lands a nice hook to James's body. James takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
James throws a body kick that misses.
James steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Esposito. That one must have hurt.

Esposito with a body punch. A glancing blow.
A thudding body kick lands there by Esposito!
Esposito feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jamess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Esposito darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
James ducks right into an uppercut from Esposito.


James is rocked!
James misses with a jab to the body
and Esposito counters with a thumping low kick.
Oh James is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
James takes a shot right to the bread basket.
James seems to have got his legs back now.
Esposito feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to James's calf.
Esposito connects with a body shot.
Esposito is looking to slow James down with leg kicks.
Esposito connects with a solid leg kick.
Frank Esposito is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Esposito with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Esposito lands a glancing blow to the side of James's head.
Esposito lets loose with a powerful body kick. James will feel that in the morning.
Esposito scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Esposito scores with a punch to the head.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Esposito.

Esposito sends James crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Esposito is motioning to the referee to let James up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
James gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Esposito gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! James is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frank Esposito!
Frank Esposito decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
