Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Bain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandre Preuss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, James Bain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexandre Preuss!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Preuss thows a left - swing and a miss!
Preuss misses with a series of wild punches.
Preuss throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Bain keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Preuss.
Bain moves into range and connects with a jab.
Preuss looks to land a left hand but Bain moved out of range nicely.

Bain clinches with his opponent.
Preuss wants to break free but Bain has control.

Bain has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Preuss is trying to keep an underhook but Bain manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Bain with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bain seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Preuss for as long as he can get away with.

A frustrated look appears on Preuss's face as he tries to break the clinch.

A telegraphed right hand from Preuss misses the target.

and Bain counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Bain is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Preuss utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Bain working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bain pushing down on Preuss's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Preuss is trying to stand up here but Bain is controlling him well.

Still in half guard, Bain seems content to control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Alexandre Preuss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bain closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Preuss's guard.

Preuss is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Bain fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Preuss manages to avoid it.

Preuss uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Bain has time to react.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to James Bain.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bain, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

James Bain decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
