Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between David Brent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrycy Szczerbiec (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brent comes to the cage accompanied by Brent and Johnson - 'Equality Street'. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szczerbiec ducks under a wild hook from Brent.
Szczerbiec will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Szczerbiec throws a hook but Brent blocks it.
Szczerbiec throws a jab when Brent was well out of range.

Szczerbiec shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Szczerbiec throws a hook but Brent avoids it easily.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Szczerbiec.
Szczerbiec throws a hook to the side of Brent's head but Brent sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Brent is looking to take a break and control but Szczerbiec is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Szczerbiec shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brent pinned against the cage. Brent gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Szczerbiec closes the distance and clinches up with Brent, looking for a takedown. Szczerbiec pushes Brent against the cage but Brent circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
David Brent has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patrycy Szczerbiec.
Brent steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Szczerbiec.

Brent looks to land a left hand but Szczerbiec moved out of range nicely.
Brent's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Szczerbiec connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Brent scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Brent counters with a shoot takedown. Szczerbiec fights it but they end up in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that David Brent will probably get the nod.

Brent is just content to waste time from the top position. Szczerbiec takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brent accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Szczerbiec changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brent looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brent, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
