Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Richlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Dowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richlin's entrance music is Real American Heroes: Mr. Losing Locker Room Reporter. A fine choice. John Dowe struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richlin swats away the attempt to clinch by Dowe.
Dowe has a takedown stuffed.

Richlin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Richlin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Dowe wants to control but Richlin is having none of it.
Richlin looking to control but Dowe is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Richlin has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dowe's face.

Dowe wants to hold on but Richlin pushes him away.

Richlin goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Dowe turns into him and now he's in Richlin's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Richlin holds on and takes a little breather.
Richlin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Dowe looks to land a body kick but Richlin moved away.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Richlin counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Richlin.

Dowe jumps guard and drags Richlin to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Dowe misses with a series of wild punches.
John Dowe is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dowe scores with a jab.
Dowe tries a head kick but it misses.

Richlin looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Dowe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Dowe is staying active underneath Richlin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Dowe wants to control but Richlin is keeping busy.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
