The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to bum rush Neely with a series of wild strikes but Neely uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Silva misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Neely dodges the punch combination from Silva.
Silva throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Neely holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Neely throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Silva using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Neely has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Silva looking to throw knees to the head but Neely is blocking nicely.
Neely creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Neely lands a takedown into guard.
Neely scoring with punches to the head and body.
Neely sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Silva's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Neely takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Neely lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Neely lands a big elbow - Silva is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Neely !
