The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a leg kick
and Red Gym cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Red Gym stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jones.
Jones lands with a nice combination. Red Gym backs away looking to recover.
Jones wants to slow Red Gym down by chopping away at his legs.
A low kick from Jones misses
and Red Gym connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jones throws a series of punches but Red Gym moves out of range.
Jones throws a leg kick but Red Gym sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Jones tests Red Gym's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Jones lands a really nice looking cross but Red Gym seems unphased.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jones, right into the meat.
Red Gym throws a lazy right hand but Jones sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Mitchell Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Red Gym uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.

and Jones takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones throws a series of punches but Red Gym avoids them all with ease.

Jones misses with a few strikes there.
Red Gym throws a head kick but Jones moves out of range.

Red Gym misses with a kick to the body.
Red Gym swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A combination from Jones does no damage.
Red Gym bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Mitchell Jones will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Jones fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Red Gym looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Jones throws a left and a right that both miss
and Red Gym counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Jones scores with a jab to the jaw.
Jones drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Jones misses with a body kick.
Red Gym ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Red Gym swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jones throws a series of punches but Red Gym avoids them all with ease.
Red Gym checks a leg kick nicely.
Some wild striking there from Jones.
Red Gym bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jones's head backwards.
Jones swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Red Gym counters with a stiff right hand.
Red Gym lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jones's sensitive parts.

A slapping leg kick lands for Red Gym.
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Red Gym closes the distance looking to clinch
and Jones counters with a nice uppercut.

and Red Gym counters with a nice low kick that buckles Jones's knee momentarily.
Red Gym lands a head kick that sends Jones down! Jones is flopping around the mat trying to get back up, leaving the referee no choice but to wave off the fight! Red Gym is victorious!
