Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryu Jin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Delroy Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Delroy Holmes told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holmes takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Holmes lands with a cross.
Holmes is looking to clinch but Jin is avoiding it.
Holmes misses the shot to the body.
Holmes avoids the head kick by Jin.
Holmes looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Jin swings for the body but Holmes moves out of range.
Holmes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Holmes uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jin.
Holmes pivots, looking for a leg kick but Jin is out of range and Holmes settles back down.
Holmes misses the shot to the body.
Holmes avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
An inside leg kick lands from Jin.
Jin connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Holmes throws a front kick aimed at Jin's knee but Jin avoids it well.
Jin moves out of range of the leg kick from Holmes.
Jin takes a swing at Holmes's ribcage but misses.

Holmes throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Jin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Holmes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Holmes connects with a jab.
Jin takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Jin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Jin.
Jin looks to land a body kick but Holmes moved away.
Holmes tries a head kick but it misses.
Holmes throws a body kick that misses.
Holmes throws a low kick but Jin moves out of range easily.

It looks like Delroy Holmes has been cut.
Holmes takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Holmes fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Jin is out of range.
Holmes checks the leg kick.
Jin throws a shot to the body.
Jin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Holmes tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Jin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Jin crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Holmes - the referee stops the clock and Jin gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Holmes. Jin manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Jin tries a head kick but it misses.
Holmes lands with a thumping leg kick.
Jin moves out of range of the body kick.
Holmes throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Holmes defending well as Jin loads up on a big left hand.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Holmes.
Holmes moves out of range of the leg kick from Jin.
Jin takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Holmes tries to score with a low kick but Jin moves his leg out of the way.
Jin scores with a nice head shot.
The fight stays on the outside here - Holmes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Holmes dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Jin throws a left and a right that both miss
and Holmes counters with a solid body kick.
Holmes throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Jin.
Jin misses with an uppercut. Holmes saw that one coming.
Jin jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Holmes throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Jin is breathing heavily.
Good leg kick by Holmes there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Holmes feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jin's calf.
Holmes fails to land with a series of punches.
Holmes cracks Jin with a good jab.
Holmes throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Jin's head.
Holmes looks to land a body kick but Jin moved away.
Holmes misses with a low kick as Jin jumps back.
Jin throws a lazy head kick
and Holmes counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Jin is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Holmes lands with a kick to the temple. Jin shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Jin is rocked!
Holmes tries a head kick but it misses.
Oh Jin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Holmes tries to clinch but Jin is having none of it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Holmes circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Jin drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Holmes follows Jin to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
