PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mihkel Jaakson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cosmos Weedman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jaakson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is metsatöll-vaid vaprust. Mihkel Jaakson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Cosmos Weedman's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weedman leaves Jaakson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Jaakson looks for a takedown but Weedman sprawls well.
Weedman showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jaakson.

Weedman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Weedman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Weedman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Weedman winds up and cracks Jaakson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Weedman takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
