PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Ruddock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robin De Koorver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruddock tries to clinch there but Koorver circles away.
Ruddock lands a jab to Koorver's midsection.
Koorver takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Ruddock misses with a kick to the body.
Koorver should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Ruddock stuffs the takedown.
Koorver wants to clinch up but Ruddock keeps it at a distance.
Koorver is looking to clinch.
Ruddock lands a jab to the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Koorver doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Koorver looks winded!
Koorver blocks a head kick by Ruddock.
Ruddock lands with a nice body punch.
Ruddock digs a good hook to Koorver's body.

Ruddock forces Koorver back against the cage and clinches.
Ruddock lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Ruddock lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Ruddock pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Koorver has eaten all the pies!

That's one minute gone in the round.
No joy there for Ruddock, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ruddock stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Ruddock ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Koorver moves out of range of the body kick from Ruddock.
Ruddock bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Koorver's head.

It looks like Robin De Koorver has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ruddock wants to clinch up but Koorver keeps it at a distance.

Ruddock lands a big right hand that sends Koorver crashing to the mat! Ruddock stays standing though and waves Koorver back to his feet!
Ruddock steps in with a hook that catches Koorver right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Ruddock follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Koorver looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tom Ruddock!
