Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lucio Rodrigues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodrigues comes to the cage accompanied by Sandstorm. Anderson Silva will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva feints a jab promting Rodrigues to slip. Silva then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Rodrigues slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Lucio Rodrigues has been cut.
Rodrigues showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Silva.

Rodrigues moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Silva goes down! Can Rodrigues finish him!?

Silva is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Rodrigues sitting in guard here, content to control.
Silva is still in real trouble! Can Rodrigues finish him?
Rodrigues advances to half guard.
Silva seems to have recovered his senses.
Silva wants to control but Rodrigues is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Rodrigues moves into full mount! Silva won't be happy about that!
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rodrigues. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Silva is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rodrigues working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Silva turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Rodrigues off and cradles Silva's limp body as Rodrigues celebrates with his corner.
