Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sean Knepper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gladius Graecus!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knepper fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gladius Graecus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knepper throws a sloppy head kick and Graecus moves out of range easily.

Graecus moves into the clinch successfully.

Graecus ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Graecus no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Graecus uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Knepper will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Knepper shoots in for a double leg but Graecus sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Graecus fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Knepper, pushing him back against the cage.

Graecus has clasped his hands together around Knepper's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Knepper takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Graecus looks up at the clock and then as Knepper takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Graecus smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Graecus is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Knepper is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Graecus tries to score a power double leg takedown but Knepper sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Graecus somewhat.
Knepper takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Knepper avoids a punch combination nicely.
Knepper fails with the takedown.
Graecus has a takedown stuffed.

Knepper clinches with his opponent.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Graecus keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Graecus lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Knepper circles away quickly and effectively.

Oooooh!!! Graecus has knocked Knepper down with a huge combo! Graecus steps away and waves a wobbly Knepper back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Sean Knepper has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Knepper throws a low kick, looking for Graecus's leg but Graecus calmly moves out of range.

Knepper got a little sloppy there for a moment and Graecus has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Knepper has managed to get both his arms back between Graecus's legs - danger averted.

Knepper misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gladius Graecus comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Graecus has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
