Silva is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Jesus Cristo. The key to victory for Robson Pit Bull has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva slaps away a takedown attempt from Pit Bull, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Silva throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pit Bull was covering up waiting for the punch and Silva finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Silva has control of Pit Bull's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Pit Bull regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Silva has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Pit Bull's face.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pit Bull is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Silva manages to capitalize on a mistake by Pit Bull to take his back!

Pit Bull pushes Silva away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Silva gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Silva's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Silva is looking to take a break and control but Pit Bull is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Silva connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Pit Bull some visible discomfort.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Silva looks up at the clock and then as Pit Bull takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Silva smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well Silva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
