Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Zaylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaylor avoids the head kick by Torres.

Zaylor changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Torres looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Torres is trying to escape the position but Zaylor is controlling the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zaylor takes a little break here. Torres wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ben Zaylor hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Torres fails in his attempt to clinch.
Torres tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zaylor paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Torres tries to bench press Zaylor off him but Zaylor keeps the position.

Torres wants to clinch up but Zaylor keeps it at a distance.

Zaylor changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Torres tries to avoid it but Zaylor manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Torres to the ground. Torres escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Torres manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

The fight stays on the outside here - Torres looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Torres throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A head kick from Torres lands but Zaylor takes it in his stride.

Zaylor shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Torres but Torres pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Torres tries to clinch but Zaylor is having none of it.
A head kick misses from Torres.
Zaylor avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Zaylor steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Torres. That one must have hurt.

Torres fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Zaylor, pushing him back against the cage.
Torres is pushing Zaylor up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Torres tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Torres wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Torres looking to throw knees to the head but Zaylor is blocking nicely.

Zaylor lands an uppercut.
Zaylor tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Torres smiles and moves away.

Zaylor throws a leg kick which misses Torres's front leg but catches the back leg as Torres tries to avoid it.

Torres gets caught flat footed, as Zaylor shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Torres wants to stand but Zaylor is controlling the position.

Torres manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Zaylor manages to get himself to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Zaylor is on top in guard.
Zaylor stays in close to Torres's body and controls the position.

Zaylor closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Torres's guard.
Zaylor chips away with some ground and pound.
Zaylor stops Torres from standing up.
Zaylor slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Zaylor is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Torres's shoulder. That is not cool.
Let's hope that Zaylor has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Zaylor looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Torres is looking for a sweep. Zaylor is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Zaylor moves into full mount! Torres won't be happy about that!

Torres tries to lock up and control but Zaylor gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Zaylor has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Torres's body.
