Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryu Lei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and You Suck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Lei.
Lei closes the distance but Suck moves to the side
and Suck counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Lei wants to get back to his feet but Suck is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Suck is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Lei has his hands on Suck's head, controlling the position.
Lei has a closed guard, preventing Suck from standing up.
Lei preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Suck won't allow Lei to get back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Suck tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lei sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Suck somewhat.

Lei is breathing heavily.
Lei is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Suck scores with a couple of nice shots.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Suck content to control rather than advance.
It looks like Suck might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Suck has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Suck decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

and Suck counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Lei pushes Suck back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Lei tries to throw a body punch but Suck avoids it by throwing Lei back against the cage.

Lei is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Suck pulls Lei in close to prevent any damage.

Suck wants to sweep but no luck.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Suck fails with a takedown attempt.
Ryu Lei has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of You Suck.

Suck postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lei looks a forlorn figure.

Lei tries to lock up and control but Suck gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

You Suck showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Lei's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Lei defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Suck.
Suck throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lei's waist but Lei gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Suck off to one side.

Suck shoots for a double leg takedown but Lei sprawls well. He's pushed Suck's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Lei gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Suck to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Suck working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lei doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lei manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Lei wants to stand and escape but instead Suck has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Well Suck has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
