Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jiga Ji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Bühler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jiga Ji has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jiga Ji!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marco Bühler!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Steve Montenegro and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ji lands with a nice body punch.
Ji throws a body punch but Bühler moves out of range.
Ji wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Ji uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bühler.
Bühler misses with a combination
and Ji counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Marco Bühler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Ji checks a leg kick.
Ji throws a nice looking combination but Bühler bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ji is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bühler.

Bühler throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ji was covering up waiting for the punch and Bühler finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Bühler postures up in Ji's guard and throws a big left but Ji blocks it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ji is on top in guard.

Ji is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bühler is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bühler has escaped and now he's on top!

Ji had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bühler defends it easily.

Bühler tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bühler has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bühler is trying to control the action in half guard but Ji is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Bühler looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Ji is looking for a sweep. Bühler is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bühler looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ji with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marco Bühler dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Bühler uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ji.
Ji misses with a body shot.
Ji finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Ji stuffs the takedown.

Bühler fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Ji checks it well.

Bühler shoots in for a takedown but Ji shows good takedown defense.
Bühler fails with a takedown attempt.
Ji jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Donk. Ji catches Bühler right on the button with a cross.

Ji connects with a nice looking jab.
Bühler connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Bühler throws a low kick but it's checked well by Ji.
Ji uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bühler.
Bühler throws a low kick but Ji moves out of range easily.
Ji tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bühler was well out of range. Poor timing from Ji.
Bühler fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ji has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Ji takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Bühler scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ji in his tracks.
Ji feints a jab promting Bühler to slip. Ji then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Bühler slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ji. Bühler does a little dance to reset his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bühler on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Bühler will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Ji lands with a straight right. Bühler didn't see that one coming.


Bühler is rocked!
Jiga Ji is winning the standup battle so far.
Ji tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Bühler is still on wobbly legs! Can Ji finish him?
Ji is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Bühler like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Bühler from another fist facial!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jiga Ji!
Jiga Ji spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
