Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Sparrow!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis throws out a loose jab but Sparrow uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sparrow takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Sparrow lands a jab-cross combination.
Sparrow throws a nice looking combination but Davis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Sparrow is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Davis swings for the body but Sparrow moves out of range.

Nice uppercut lands for Davis. That snapped Sparrow's head back.

and Sparrow counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Sparrow counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sparrow connects with a single shot there.
Sparrow uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Davis has time to react.
Sparrow tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Davis paws at him with a jab and circles away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sparrow will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Sparrow forces Davis back against the cage and clinches.
Davis blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Sparrow.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Davis takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Davis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sparrow misses the shot to the body.
Sparrow feints a jab promting Davis to slip. Sparrow then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Davis slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Sparrow fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Davis on the side of the head.
Davis throws out a loose jab but Sparrow uses good head movement to avoid it.

enabling Sparrow to counter with a crisp jab.
Sparrow pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Davis back to the cage. Sparrow follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Davis looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Sparrow connects with the punch.
Sparrow connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Davis's hands.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Davis walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Jack Sparrow showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Davis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sparrow as he avoids it easily.

Sparrow shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Davis is trying to defend but Sparrow finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Let's hope that Sparrow has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well Sparrow has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
