PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andre Roussimoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Baron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roussimoff comes to the cage accompanied by Headstrong - Trapt. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roussimoff misses with a hook

and Baron counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Baron stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Roussimoff swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Baron has gone for a leg lock! Roussimoff slips out almost immediately though and dives into Baron's guard.

Baron escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Roussimoff gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Baron is looking for a triangle but Roussimoff pushes his legs off easily.
Roussimoff wants to control from the top but Baron keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Baron wants to hit a switch here but Roussimoff passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Baron there!

Baron is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Roussimoff knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Baron swings around for an armbar but Roussimoff sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Baron's guard.

Baron has his foot on Roussimoff's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Roussimoff works his way back into a safe position though.
Baron is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Roussimoff working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Baron doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Baron manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Baron is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Roussimoff keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Baron shoots in and drives through. Roussimoff sprawls well.
Baron closes the distance and clinches up with Roussimoff, looking for a takedown. Baron pushes Roussimoff against the cage but Roussimoff circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
