Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, JC Sorrvino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Craig Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sorrvino tries a head kick but it misses.
Sorrvino rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johnson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sorrvino shoots in and drives through. Johnson sprawls well.
JC Sorrvino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson throws a shot to the body.
Johnson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Sorrvino gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Johnson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sorrvino fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Sorrvino tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Johnson jabs Sorrvino to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Johnson motions for Sorrvino to come forward. Johnson throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Johnson avoids the body shot from Sorrvino.

Johnson avoids a punch combination nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sorrvino drops his hands momentarily and Johnson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.


It looks like JC Sorrvino has been cut.
Johnson scores with a jab. Sorrvino acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Nice defenses there by Sorrvino.

Johnson clinches with his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sorrvino gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Johnson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sorrvino misses with a wild body shot.
A big right from Johnson misses.
Johnson throws a low kick but it's checked well by Sorrvino.
Johnson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.


It looks like Craig Johnson has been cut.
Johnson misses with a double jab
enabling Sorrvino to counter with a crisp jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sorrvino takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Sorrvino clinches up with Johnson and pushes him back against the cage.
Sorrvino wants a takedown.
Sorrvino prevents a takedown attempt there.
JC Sorrvino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Craig Johnson.
Johnson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Sorrvino has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Johnson uses from the top position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Sorrvino is trying to keep Johnson in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson trying to control but Sorrvino is working from the bottom.
Johnson won't allow Sorrvino to sweep him here.
Sorrvino will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Johnson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Sorrvino tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Johnson postures up in Sorrvino's guard and throws a big left but Sorrvino blocks it.
Sorrvino is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Johnson trying to control the position from guard on top but Sorrvino is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Craig Johnson was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Sorrvino moves into the clinch successfully.
A short right from Johnson on the inside.
Sorrvino is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Johnson breaks the clinch.
Sorrvino finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Johnson's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Sorrvino falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Craig Johnson!
An intense looking Craig Johnson took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Thanks Origin for this fight. '.
