Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kauan Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and MD Amrullah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MD Amrullah has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kauan Aldo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kauan Aldo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, MD Amrullah!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amrullah shoots in for a takedown but Aldo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Aldo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Amrullah is fending him off so far but Aldo persists. Nope, Amrullah circles away and we're back to standing.
Aldo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Amrullah did well to prevent Aldo getting side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Amrullah gets back to full guard.
Amrullah trying to keep a closed guard but Aldo is proving a slippery customer.
Amrullah tries to land a sweep but no joy.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Aldo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Aldo postures up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. MD Amrullah was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Amrullah shoots in but no luck this time.
Aldo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Aldo is trying to work for a kimura but Amrullah is defending well.
Amrullah wants to control but Aldo is keeping busy.
Amrullah is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Aldo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Aldo's back!
Amrullah is trying to stick to Aldo's back but Aldo is turning into Amrullah. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Amrullah's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Aldo.
Aldo wanted to stand there but Amrullah had control of the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Amrullah is trying to keep Aldo in close.
Amrullah keeping moving, preventing Aldo from controlling successfully.
Aldo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Amrullah on the ground.
Aldo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kauan Aldo wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Crunch! Aldo slams his shin into Amrullah's torso.
Aldo wants to clinch up but Amrullah keeps it at a distance.
Aldo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Aldo wants it to stay on the feet.
Kauan Aldo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of MD Amrullah.
Amrullah looks winded!
Amrullah closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Aldo's guard.

Aldo is adopting a defensive guard.
Amrullah slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Aldo.

Amrullah is keen to just control but Aldo is a slippery customer.
Aldo is trying to control but Amrullah passes into side control!
Amrullah staying calm.
Amrullah wants to take a breather but Aldo manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Amrullah.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kauan Aldo will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Aldo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Aldo swings for the body but Amrullah moves out of range.
Aldo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Amrullah is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Aldo shoots for a double leg takedown but Amrullah sprawls well. He's pushed Aldo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Aldo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Amrullah is trying to defend but Aldo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Amrullah makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Amrullah.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Amrullah is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Amrullah escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aldo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Aldo trying to control but Amrullah is working from the bottom.
Aldo is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Amrullah has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Aldo is looking to defend but Amrullah has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Aldo! Amrullah pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Aldo taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). MD Amrullah!
