The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McBride shoots for a takedown but Michael saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

McBride fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Michael to the ground. McBride is now in Michael's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Michael wants to sweep here but McBride controlling him for the moment.
Michael is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Michael wants to stand and escape but McBride is having none of it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

McBride is looking to sinch up a triangle. Michael throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to McBride's body to avoid the submission. McBride has instead reached around Michael's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! McBride arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
