Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Nedlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Kozak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jan Kozak will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Nedlov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jan Kozak!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Ivan Kurochkin and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kozak darts in and clinches Nedlov up against the cage.
Nedlov could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nedlov is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kozak to keep the fight standing.
Stalling in the clinch from Kozak.
Nedlov is looking to take this one to the mat.
Kozak stalling against the cage.
Nedlov tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Nedlov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nedlov wants to stall.

Nedlov ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Nedlov no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Nedlov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kozak can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Nedlov holds on and takes a little breather.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ivan Nedlov.

Kozak throws a series of punches but Nedlov avoids them all with ease.
Kozak throws a front kick that sends Nedlov stumbling back into the cage.
Kozak lands a leg kick that knocks Nedlov off balance momentarily.
Kozak takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Kozak swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kozak fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nedlov takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Nice takedown defense from Kozak. No joy for Nedlov on that attempt.

Kozak rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nedlov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Horrible takedown by Nedlov or perhaps it was just good defense by Kozak which made him look bad.
Nedlov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Nedlov throws a series of strikes that have Kozak backpedaling.
Kozak lets loose with a powerful body kick. Nedlov will feel that in the morning.
Nedlov is breathing heavily.
Kozak scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Kozak throws a head kick that Nedlov semi-blocks.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nedlov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kozak as he avoids it easily.

Kozak gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Nedlov misses with a short punch on the inside.

Kozak escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kozak scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Kozak lands a right hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Ivan Nedlov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nedlov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kozak pinned against the cage. Kozak gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nedlov misses with a wild combination.
Kozak lands a high kick!
Nedlov tries to move into range but Kozak moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

and Kozak counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Kozak throws a sloppy head kick and Nedlov moves out of range easily.

Nedlov misses with a takedown attempt - Kozak sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Nedlov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kozak plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

A nice right hand lands inside from Kozak.
Nedlov tries to throw a body punch but Kozak avoids it by throwing Nedlov back against the cage.
Nedlov goes for a takedown attempt but Kozak pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Kozak misses with a head kick.

Kozak throws a head kick but Nedlov moves out of range.
Kozak throws a low kick but Nedlov avoids it.
Sloppy strikes from Nedlov. Those never looked like landing.
Jan Kozak seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Nedlov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kozak pinned against the cage. Kozak gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kozak lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nedlov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kozak sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nedlov somewhat.

Nedlov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kozak has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nedlov has managed to get both his arms back between Kozak's legs - danger averted.

Kozak had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nedlov defends it easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ivan Nedlov.

and Kozak counters with a big head kick but Nedlov shrugs it off.
Nedlov shoots in and drives through. Kozak sprawls well.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kozak.
Nedlov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kozak but Kozak pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kozak throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Nedlov.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jan Kozak showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Nedlov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kozak's guard.
Nedlov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kozak swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kozak has his foot on Nedlov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nedlov works his way back into a safe position though.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kozak can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kozak wants to sweep here but Nedlov controlling him for the moment.

Nedlov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Kozak really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nedlov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Kozak lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kozak.
Kozak lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


Nedlov is rocked!
Kozak cracks Nedlov with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Nedlov falls to his knees and Kozak doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jan Kozak!
