The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montoya cracks emelianenko with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! emelianenko looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Montoya finish him?

emelianenko fails with an attempt to clinch.

Montoya darts in and clinches emelianenko up against the cage.

Montoya breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Montoya drives through and clinches with emelianenko against the cage.

Montoya manages to break the clinch.
emelianenko seems to have recovered his senses.

emelianenko fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Montoya, pushing him back against the cage.
emelianenko throws a knee to the head but misses.
Still in the clinch, Montoya scores with a nice short uppercut.
Montoya wants a takedown.
emelianenko lands an elbow inside that Montoya shrugs off.
emelianenko is looking to break free of the clinch but Montoya has double underhooks.

Montoya breaks from the clinch.
Montoya looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Montoya shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! emelianenko is on queer street and Montoya is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
