Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Slacks Houligan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Oxmall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slacks Houligan had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houligan shoots in for a takedown but Oxmall shows good takedown defense.

Oxmall decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Houligan has control of Oxmall's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Oxmall regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Houligan goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Oxmall turns into him and now he's in Houligan's guard.

Oxmall lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Houligan down.

Houligan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Oxmall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Houligan has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Oxmall is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Houligan.
