The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones tries to keep at a distance but Jackson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jackson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jones just stands there and leans against the cage.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jackson takes a jab right on the kisser.

It looks like Marcus Jackson has been cut.
Jones tries to clinch up.
Jackson looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.
Jones lands a nice hook to Jackson's body. Jackson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Jackson looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones tries to clinch but Jackson moves away

and Jackson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Jones is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson is thwarting Jones's attempts to control the position.
Jackson prevents Jones from standing back up.

Jones trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Jackson ducks under a wild hook from Jones.
Jackson tries for a takedown but Jones sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Deacon Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Jackson.

Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jackson is looking to escape.

Jackson manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Jones wants to get back to his feet.

Jackson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard.
Jones is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jackson is controlling him.
Jackson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Jackson drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Jackson as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Jones screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Jackson! Nice submission victory there!
