Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil Gravus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magnus Nibey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Magnus Nibey will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nibey misses with a few strikes there.
Nibey defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gravus.
Nibey fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown by Nibey or perhaps it was just good defense by Gravus which made him look bad.
Nibey throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Gravus sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Nibey fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gravus, pushing him back against the cage.

Gravus is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Nibey can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
