The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berg throws a head kick that misses
and Gerald counters with a nice body kick.
Berg tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gerald sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Berg somewhat.
Gerald dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Berg. That did some damage!
Berg finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Gerald displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Berg.
Gerald steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Berg.
Gerald throws a right and a left that both miss.
The fight stays on the outside here - Berg looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Berg misses with a double jab.

Gerald rushes Berg and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Gerald is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Gerald lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

It looks like Peter Berg has been cut.
Berg is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Gerald is defending well for now.
Gerald throws a knee to the head but misses.
Gerald tries for a takedown but Berg manages to get underhooks.

Gerald's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nice takedown defense from Berg. No joy for Gerald on that attempt.
Berg wants to clinch but Gerald slips to the side
and Gerald counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Berg on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Berg dives in and grabs Gerald's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gerald pushes down on Berg's head and hops out.
Paul Gerald has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Berg.
Gerald throws a series of strikes that have Berg backpedaling.

Berg walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
A telegraphed right hand from Berg misses the target.
Gerald Rushes Berg and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Berg is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Gerald Piles on the pressure and Berg crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
