Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Spades (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patrick Spades is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Patrick Spades!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vincent Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spades misses with a takedown
and Wallace counters with a left to the body.
Wallace swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Spades closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Wallace's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Spades preventing the sweep.
Wallace keeping full guard, as Spades tries to pass.
Spades with a flurry of punches that miss.
Wallace is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Spades is looking to work some ground and pound but Wallace has wrist control.

Wallace wants to stand up but Spades is controlling him.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Spades's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Spades makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Spades slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Spades in side control lands a decent elbow.
Spades landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Spades working the head and body with strikes.
Spades misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Wallace tries to buck Spades off but Spades is having none of it.
Wallace really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spades. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wallace regains half guard.
Wallace is looking to improve his position.

Spades is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wallace doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Spades.
Spades prevents Wallace from standing back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Spades thows a huge punch but Wallace dodges it nicely.
Spades scoring with strikes to the body and head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Spades not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Spades is looking to take a break and control but Wallace is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Wallace has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Spades is working away from the top position though.
Spades is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Spades prevents Wallace from getting the reversal.
Spades lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Wallace is looking to improve his position but Spades isn't that keen on the idea.
Spades postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Wallace looks a forlorn figure.

Wallace is rocked!

Spades cracks Wallace with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
