Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sanex Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lewis kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Snoop DoGG. Sanex Lewis could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to James Mitchell's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sanex Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, James Mitchell!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Mitchell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lewis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mitchell throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lewis sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mitchell cracks Lewis with a good jab.
Lewis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mitchell's waist but Mitchell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lewis off to one side.
Mitchell thows a left - swing and a miss!
Lewis swats away the attempt to clinch by Mitchell.
Lewis scores with a takedown into Mitchell's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Lewis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Mitchell wants to sweep here but Lewis controlling him for the moment.
Mitchell wants to stand up but Lewis is controlling him.
Lewis drops back looking for a leg! Mitchell is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mitchell manages to kick Lewis off! Lewis jumps back into Mitchell's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lewis keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mitchell's head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mitchell is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Mitchell trying to control the action but Lewis is working from the bottom.
Mitchell decides to return to a standing position.
Mitchell wants to clinch up but Lewis keeps it at a distance.
No luck for Lewis with that takedown attempt.
Mitchell throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A head kick from Mitchell lands but Lewis takes it in his stride.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mitchell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mitchell misses with a head kick.
Lewis blocks a head kick by Mitchell.
No joy there for Mitchell, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lewis gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lewis has an Americana. Mitchell didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Lewis is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Lewis hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Sanex Lewis!
After the fight, Sanex Lewis was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
