Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Glass Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hank Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hank Hill will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Glass Joe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hank Hill!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Joe drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Hill is trying to control Joe's posture but Joe avoids it.
Joe advances to full mount.
Joe prevents Hill from getting the reversal.
Joe working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but Hill slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hill looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Joe is pressing down on Hill's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hill is holding on for now.
Hill is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Joe's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Joe's back!
Joe breaks Hill's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Joe wants to control from the top but Hill keeps moving.
Joe postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Joe tries to free his leg and advance position but Hill is retaining full guard.
Joe wants to stand but Hill has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Joe trying to control but Hill is working from the bottom.
Joe pushes down on Hill's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Joe seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Hill is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Joe is tying to control. Hill wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Joe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hill's head.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hill has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Joe is working away from the top position though.
Joe is trying to control the action in half guard but Hill is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Joe is pressing down on Hill's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hill is holding on for now.

Hill pushes Joe off and gets back to his feet.
Hill lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Joe closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Hill defending against the ground and pound.
Hill is looking to regain half guard here but Joe keeps moving and retains side control.

Joe wants to control but Hill is keeping him busy.

Joe wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hill, who protects the arm well.
Hill is trying to control Joe's posture but Joe avoids it.
Joe looking to control but instead Hill has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Hill manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Joe trying to control but Hill is working from the bottom.
Hill wants to get back to his feet but Joe is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Joe stopping the sweep attempt from Hill.
Joe makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Hill looking to hit a scissor sweep but Joe is one step ahead there.
Joe tries to free his leg and advance position but Hill is retaining full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Donk. Hill catches Joe right on the button with a cross.
Nice cross by Hill.
Joe shoots in but no luck this time.
Glass Joe is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hill lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Joe backs up against the cage.
Hill throws a hook but Joe blocks it.
Hill misses with a wild body shot.
Hill lands an overhand right.
Joe moves out of range as Hill strikes.
Joe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hill is fending him off so far but Joe persists. Nope, Hill circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Glass Joe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Joe closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Hill scores with a jab to the head.


Joe is rocked!
Hill fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Oh Joe is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Joe looks for a takedown but Hill sprawls well.
Joe seems to have got his legs back now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Joe shoots in but no luck this time.
Glass Joe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Joe decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Hill is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Joe's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Joe's back!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hill prevents Joe from improving his position.
Hill looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Joe wants to get back to full guard.

Joe is refusing to be controlled, as Hill sits in half guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Joe drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hill keeping moving, preventing Joe from controlling successfully.
Joe throwing strikes from guard but Hill blocks nicely.
Hill keeping full guard, as Joe tries to pass.
Joe stopping the sweep attempt from Hill.
Joe pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hill is keeping the position for now.

Joe avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Joe stands and throws Hill's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Joe working the ground and pound.
Hill dodges the ground and pound from Joe.
Joe cracks Hill with a big right hand but Hill just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Joe landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Hill gets back to half guard.
Hill wants to improve his position but Joe is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hank Hill showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Joe tries to clinch but Hill is having none of it.
Hill throws a hook to the side of Joe's head but Joe sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hill misses with a looping right.
Joe will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hill cracks a nice hook into Joe's ribs.
Hill throws a shot from downtown. Joe moves away and avoids it.
Hill scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Hill throws a right hand that Joe ducks under and follows up with a left that Joe also avoids with ease.

Hill gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hill wants to stand and escape but Joe is having none of it.

Hill is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Joe drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Joe jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Joe works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Hill tries to get to full guard but Joe has control of the leg.
Joe trying to control from Hill's half guard. Hill has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Joe stopping the sweep attempt from Hill.
Joe looking to sit in guard and control but Hill gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Joe is looking to sweep but instead, Hill has passed into half guard.
Joe is trying to get back to full guard.

Hill is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Joe pushes Hill off looking to stand but Hill dives back in and keeps control.
Hill works his foot free and advances to mount.
Hill trying to control but Joe is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Joe is trying to escape the mount.
Joe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Joe taking shots to the head.
Joe is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Joe is desperately trying to improve his position but Hill has a good base and remains in mount.
Joe tries to lock up and control but Hill gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Hank Hill comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Hill has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
