PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonas Underwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ernesto Host (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Host's choice of entrance music: Avenged Sevenfold - Blinded In Chains. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Underwood throws a hook to the side of Host's head but Host sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Underwood throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Host was covering up waiting for the punch and Underwood finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Host looking for subs off his back but Underwood has passed one foot through into half guard.

Underwood looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Underwood is controlling the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Underwood wants to free his trapped foot but Host is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Underwood could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Host tries to get to full guard but Underwood has control of the leg.

Host is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Underwood gets his way!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Underwood is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Host knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Host for a finish.

Underwood is working for a rear naked choke. Host is not defending it well and Underwood has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Host refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Host's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
