We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lee Bannnon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Freddy Bones!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Felipe Paraventi and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bannnon misses with a lunging right hand
and Bones counters with a nice low kick that buckles Bannnon's knee momentarily.
Bones tries a head kick but it misses.
Bones misses with a head kick.
Bones fails to land with a series of punches.
Bones fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Bannnon checks it well.
Bones throws a head kick that misses.

Bannnon closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Bannnon goes for a takedown attempt but Bones pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bones connects with a high kick.
Freddy Bones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Bannnon fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bones to the ground. Bannnon is now in Bones's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Bannnon sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Bannnon sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bones's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bannnon content to control rather than advance.
Bannnon is trying to control the action in half guard but Bones is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Bones won't allow Bannnon to pass to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bannnon seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bones for as long as he can get away with.

We're going to have a standup here because Lee Bannnon wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Bannnon misses with a low kick.

Bones lands with a thumping leg kick.

Bones throws a sloppy head kick and Bannnon moves out of range easily.

Bannnon thows a body shot but no joy.

Bones instigates a clinch.
Bones looking to throw knees to the head but Bannnon is blocking nicely.
Bones misses with a knee to the head.
Bones tries a knee to the head but Bannnon blocks it.

Bannnon wants to break the clinch but can't.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bannnon is trying to pull guard but Bones turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Freddy Bones will probably get the nod.
That's time! Bannnon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Bones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bones misses with a head kick.
Bannnon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bones tries to avoid it but Bannnon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bones to the ground. Bones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bones throws a head kick that misses.

Bones closes the distance and clinches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bones with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Bannnon tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bones just stands there and leans against the cage.
Bannnon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bones walks away with a smile on his face. Bannnon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lee Bannnon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bannnon blocks a head kick by Bones.
Bones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bannnon circles away quickly and effectively.
Bones tries a head kick but it misses.

Bones rushes Bannnon and presses him up against the cage.
Bones tries to land a knee to the head but Bannnon blocks with his arms.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Bannnon jumps guard and drags Bones to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Bannnon looking for a guillotine here but Bones defends easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bones preventing the sweep.
Bannnon keeping moving, preventing Bones from controlling successfully.

Bannnon is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bones tries to free his leg and advance position but Bannnon is retaining full guard.
Bones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bannnon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bannnon is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bones has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Bannnon to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Bones is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Bannnon pulls down on the head and he's put Bones to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Lee Bannnon!
Our winner, Lee Bannnon, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
