Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Zombie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir misses with a takedown attempt - Zombie sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mir circles away from the clinch attempt.
Zombie throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Mir counters with a shoot takedown. Zombie fights it but they end up in guard.
Zombie can't keep his opponent in guard - Mir advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Zombie is trying to control but can't.

Mir is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Zombie tries to kick Mir off but Mir keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Zombie is refusing to be controlled, as Mir sits in half guard.

Mir seems to be working for a kimura but Zombie defends the submission attempt.

and Mir counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Zombie!
Mir is breathing heavily.

Mir working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Zombie turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Mir off and cradles Zombie's limp body as Mir celebrates with his corner.
