The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendrick leaves Conner with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Conner shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hendrick sprawls well. Hendrick wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Conner gets slowly back to his feet.
Conner takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

It looks like Steven Conner has been cut.
Conner shoots in but Hendrick avoids the takedown attempt easily.
War Hendrick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steven Conner.
Hendrick looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Hendrick cracks Conner with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Conner tries to keep at a distance but Hendrick has taken the fight into the clinch.

Hendrick pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Conner has eaten all the pies!
Hendrick connects with a jab.
Conner takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Hendrick lands a slapping body shot.

Conner tries to keep at a distance but Hendrick has taken the fight into the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hendrick blocks an elbow strike from Conner.
Hendrick lands a good knee to the midsection. Conner won't want to take too many of those.
Hendrick lands with a right to the head.

Hendrick creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Conner! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Hendrick.
