The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huxley darts in trying to clinch
and Huxley takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Dima Huxley has been cut.
Huxley wants to clinch.
Huxley moves in looking to clinch but Maeda pushes him off.

Huxley has managed to clinch.
Huxley tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Maeda's elbow.
Huxley lands an elbow inside.

It looks like Akira Maeda has been cut.
Huxley throws an elbow but it misses.
Huxley throws a knee to the head but misses.
Huxley looking to throw knees to the head but Maeda is blocking nicely.
Huxley with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Huxley lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Huxley lands a body punch.

Huxley lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Maeda breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Huxley closes the distance but Maeda moves to the side
and Maeda counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Huxley moves out of range as Maeda throws a body kick.
Maeda throws out a powerful jab.
A jab from Maeda does it's job there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Huxley doesn't manage to clinch there - Maeda circles away.
Maeda slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Huxley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Maeda paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Huxley takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Huxley closes the distance and pushes Maeda back into the cage.
Huxley throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Maeda blocks it with crossed arms.
Maeda blocks an elbow strike from Huxley.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Maeda tries to circle away but Huxley has him pinned against the cage.
Maeda takes a knee right on the jaw!
Huxley using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Maeda has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Huxley throws a punch but it's blocked by Maeda.
Maeda is looking to break free of the clinch but Huxley has double underhooks.
Huxley tries a knee to the head but Maeda blocks it.
Huxley misses with a hook to the ribs.

Maeda manages to break the clinch.
Huxley darts in trying to clinch
and Maeda counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Donk. Maeda catches Huxley right on the button with a cross.

Dima Huxley's cut is getting worse.
Maeda walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Huxley drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Maeda swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Huxley's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
