The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alexander tries to keep at a distance but Nassoon has taken the fight into the clinch.

Nassoon works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Alexander will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Nassoon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Alexander wants to get back to his feet but Nassoon is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Alexander is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Nassoon stops Alexander from standing up.
Alexander is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Nassoon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alexander has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nassoon has managed to get both his arms back between Alexander's legs - danger averted.
