The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomes throws a sloppy head kick and Rapthlaka moves out of range easily.
Rapthlaka ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
A right-left combo lands from Rapthlaka.
A big right from Rapthlaka misses.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gomes throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gomes keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rapthlaka takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Gomes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rapthlaka instigates a clinch.
Rapthlaka breaks from the clinch.
Gomes avoids the head kick by Rapthlaka.
Gomes stuffs the takedown.
Rapthlaka manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Gomes on his heels. He'll look to pass Gomes's guard now, I'm sure.
Rapthlaka controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Rapthlaka is pushing down on Gomes's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gomes is fighting to maintain full guard but Rapthlaka has managed to sneak the leg through.
Rapthlaka is keen to just control but Gomes is a slippery customer.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rapthlaka is thwarting Gomes's attempts to control the position.

Rapthlaka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gomes throws a series of punches but Rapthlaka avoids them all with ease.
Mibon Rapthlaka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gomes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rapthlaka circles away quickly and effectively.
Rapthlaka thuds a left hand into Gomes's body.
Gomes is breathing heavily.
Gomes throws a head kick but Rapthlaka moves out of range.
Rapthlaka lands with an uppercut that bounces Gomes off the cage and back into range.
Rapthlaka lands with a good body shot.
Rapthlaka scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
