The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morse throws a series of punches but Rhodes avoids them all with ease.

Rhodes gets a double leg takedown into Morse's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

James Morse has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Montaigue Rhodes.

Morse connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rhodes momentarily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Rhodes counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rhodes.

Rhodes postures up in Morse's guard and throws a big left but Morse blocks it.
Rhodes is fighting to break Morse's control of his arms but Morse is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Morse avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Morse seems keen to control Rhodes's posture.
Rhodes won't allow Morse to sweep him here.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Rhodes passes Morse's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Rhodes is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Morse is just riding it out for now. Rhodes eventually gives up the hold.

Morse Throws a clean left jab. Morse Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Rhodes's chin! Rhodes crumbles to the ground and Morse follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Morse!
