And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dragic Moniko!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelms slips a jab and a cross from Moniko.
Moniko looks to land a combination but Nelms avoids it well.
Moniko tries to close the distance and clinch but Nelms swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Moniko loads up on a big right hand but Nelms slips the punch.
Nelms takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Moniko lands with a nice combination. Nelms backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Roger Nelms has been cut.
Dragic Moniko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Moniko throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
No luck for Nelms with that takedown attempt.

Moniko has managed to clinch.
Nelms prevents Moniko from breaking the clinch.
Nelms creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Nelms wants a takedown.
Moniko is trying to push Nelms away but Nelms has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Moniko wants to get back to striking at distance but Nelms won't allow it.
Moniko is trying to break free.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Nelms drops down looking for an ankle pick but Moniko pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roger Nelms. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Moniko displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nelms.
Moniko will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Nelms really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Moniko lands a jab to the head.
Nelms shoots in looking for a takedown but Moniko manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nelms's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Moniko clinches up against the cage.
Nelms trying to control the position but instead, Moniko has worked for underhooks and has pushed Nelms into the cage.
Moniko wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Nelms has him pressed against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Moniko wants to get back to striking at distance but Nelms won't allow it.

Moniko breaks from the clinch.
Moniko scores with a decent looking hook.

Nelms is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Moniko bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Nelms's head backwards.
Oh Nelms is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nice takedown defense from Moniko. No joy for Nelms on that attempt.
Moniko lands an uppercut, right on the button! Nelms tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
