The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Rua looking for submissions off his back.
Santos tries to stand and escape but Rua is controlling the position.

Santos is trying to control. Rua wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Rua has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Santos. Oh but Rua has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Santos goes limp - he's gone! Rua jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
