Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sho Goon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ewan Turnbull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ewan Turnbull is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goon gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Turnbull counters with a single leg into guard. Goon didn't expect that.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Turnbull trying to stand up but can't free himself from Goon's guard.

Goon looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Turnbull passes into side control.

Goon is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Turnbull off and has taken his back!
Goon has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Turnbull's body.

Goon is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Turnbull has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Goon is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Turnbull is defending well though. Goon let's go of the attempt for now.

Goon is looking to improve his position but Turnbull isn't that keen on the idea.
Goon tries to hold on but Turnbull pushes him away.

Turnbull stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Turnbull is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Turnbull misses with a takedown attempt - Goon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A punch combination from Goon misses.
Turnbull shoots in looking for a takedown but Goon manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Turnbull's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sho Goon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ewan Turnbull.

Goon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Sho Goon wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Goon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Turnbull is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Turnbull is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Goon pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Goon gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Turnbull regains guard.
Goon controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Turnbull keeping moving, preventing Goon from controlling successfully.
Goon wants to stand but Turnbull has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Goonis looking to pass into half guard but Turnbull pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Turnbull is in guard.

Goon looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Turnbull has picked Goon up and slammed him! Goon can't keep hold of the triangle and Turnbull manages to pass to side control!
Goon can't do much from the bottom here.
Goon tries to buck Turnbull off but Turnbull is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Goon wants to control but Turnbull postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Goon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Turnbull changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Goon tries to avoid it but Turnbull manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Goon to the ground. Goon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Goon dives in and grabs Turnbull's left leg, looking for a takedown. Turnbull pushes down on Goon's head and hops out.

Goon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Turnbull looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Goon wants to control but Turnbull is keeping him busy.

Turnbull is pushing Goon's head away, looking to escape. Goon manages to hold on to the position though.

Goon in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Turnbull is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
