De Vries comes into the arena with Duke Lion blaring out of the sound system. Hans De Vries has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Vries connects with the punch.
De Vries scores with a shot to the body.
De Vries connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gracie momentarily.
Hans De Vries seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice body punch from De Vries.
Gracie looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Gracie keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gracie's hands are dropping dangerously low here and De Vries connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gracie scrambles back to his feet.
Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. De Vries tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. De Vries manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
De Vries lands a nice leg kick that just misses Gracie's sensitive parts.
De Vries scores with a jab to the jaw.
Gracie avoids the head kick by De Vries.

Gracie tries to keep at a distance but De Vries has taken the fight into the clinch.
Gracie takes an elbow to the temple.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gracie is working for takedown but De Vries is calmly controlling the position for now.
De Vries gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Gracie is rocked!

A nice left hand lands by De Vries.
Gracie is still on wobbly legs! Can De Vries finish him?
De Vries lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
De Vries creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Gracie's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Gracie drops to his knees and De Vries pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hans De Vries!
A relieved looking Hans De Vries thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
