The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lohmeri drops Garret with a beautiful combination! Garret stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Lohmeri is looking for the KO!

It looks like Seth Garret has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lohmeri misses with the combination.
Lohmeri misses with a jab to the body

and Garret holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Garret is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Lohmeri is defending well.
Garret goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lohmeri prevents it.
Garret lands an elbow that stopped Lohmeri in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Bjorni Kwanko Lohmeri has been cut.
Lohmeri working hard to break the clinch.

Garret wants the takedown. Lohmeri is fighting it off but Garret persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lohmeri's guard against the cage.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Lohmeri has Garret pulled in close to control his posture.
Lohmeri really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garret. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Garret is looking to work some ground and pound but Lohmeri has wrist control.

Lohmeri tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Garret has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Garret prevents Lohmeri from escaping the position.
Garret cracks Lohmeri with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Garret has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Lohmeri looks to score with a jab to the body but Garret is just out of range.
Lohmeri swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Garret counters with a nice leg kick.
Lohmeri lands with an uppercut that bounces Garret off the cage and back into range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lohmeri smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Garret tries to clinch but Lohmeri is having none of it.
Lohmeri throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Lohmeri lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Garret circles away quickly and effectively.
Lohmeri wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Bjorni Kwanko Lohmeri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Garret is breathing heavily.
Garret takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Lohmeri scores with a hook to the body. Garret takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Donk. Lohmeri catches Garret right on the button with a cross.

Lohmeri cracks Garret with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Lohmeri has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Garret to stand back up!

Garret is rocked!
Bjorni Kwanko Lohmeri is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lohmeri throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Lohmeri feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Garret sprawling to the canvas! Garret rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Lohmeri finish him?!
Oh Garret is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lohmeri connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Garret out cold! This one is over in a flash!
